• 1993In late 1993, a group of partners from Girona created Axxon Selecting ETT SLU. Among them, Mike Hurley became investing partner and, thanks to his professional background in the UK, he also became mentor and expert during the start-up of the company. Mariona de Puig, also a founding partner, undertook the management from the first moment.

  • 1994With the Publication of Spain’s Act 14/1994, Axxon Selecting ETT started operating and became the first employment agency to obtain administrative authorisation in the Girona area.

  • 1995The founding partners, Mike Hurley and Mariona de Puig, acquired 100% of the shares in the company. This same year, the first specialist areas and teams to provide the Temporary Employment service were created: Industrial, Office, TOP (technicians, Officials and Professionals), Health, School transport…

  • 1996Foundation of the Axxon Recursos Humans company through which we started offering Selection and Consultancy services.

  • 1997Axxon Selecting ETT became the first employment agency in Girona to obtain the ISO9001 Quality certification.

  • 2001Owing to its growth, Axxon moved into modern new offices at c. Barcelona no. 2. These offices were designed to improve the quality and specialisation of the temporary employment and selection services.

  • 2002Axxon launched its first interactive website, publishing job offers in real time and opening a new online channel for attracting talent. With this action, Axxon was able to expand its range of applications exponentially.

  • 2005Quim Arpí, who joined Axxon in 2002, took over the General Management and became a new partner. Specialisation of the company’s services became Axxon’s strategic focus.

  • 2008Inspired by requests by some of its most important clients, Axxon established itself in the city of Barcelona. With this decision, Axxon started its project to become a leading player in the provision of high-quality specialist services beyond the Girona area.

  • 2010In this year, Axxon invested in technology to carry out its first video interviews and online aptitude tests. With this technological development, Axxon took a new step to improve its user experience.

  • 2015Mariona de Puig and Quim Arpí acquired 100% of the company.

  • 2016As a result of the Modification of Spanish Law 14/1994, published on 17/10/2014, which stated that employment agencies could provide human resources consulting services, Axxon decided to merge the Selection and Temporary Employment teams to strengthen its focus on specialisation and on providing value for clients, candidates and workers.
    In this same year, Axxon completed the transformational of digitisation of its administrative processes.

  • 2017Owing to its growth in Barcelona, Axxon decided to open new offices at c. Balmes 114. These offices feature the space and technological advances needed to continue growing and providing a quality, specialist service.

  • 2018Axxon launched its internal projects AxxonOffOn and AxxonLab. The aim of these projects is to identify and introduce major technological and digital improvements all through the value creation chain. Improved user experience and matching are its main objectives.

  • 2020Axxon has incorporated artificial intelligence (Machine Intelligence) and semantic selection technology into its process. The aim is to continue to offer high-quality solutions to improve and streamline supply and demand in the employment market.
