Every year, on 20 May, we celebrate Human Resources Day – a time to recognise and celebrate the work of all those who are dedicated to connecting talent with opportunity.
To mark the occasion, we at Axxon wanted to give Laura, an HR professional who found her current job through us, a voice. We asked her a few questions about her career path and experiences, and she provided an inspiring testimonial demonstrating how a single opportunity can transform your career.
Laura's Testimonial - Human Resources Specialist
1. What does working in HR mean to you?
For me, it means making sure employees only have to worry about doing their job. That means being able to respond effectively when an issue arises, whether it's related to the company or a specific employee.
2. What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I enjoy most is keeping all the documentation up to date. I really like it when employees go to different companies that we work with and they can get to work without any problems, thanks to the fact that we, as HR and occupational risk prevention specialists, keep both the monthly and individual documentation in order. This goes hand in hand with the fact that I really enjoy dealing with administrative documentation.
3. What's the biggest challenge you face in your daily work?
The biggest challenge is to meet the needs of all the companies we work with, as there are many with whom we have an administrative relationship. It's important to know that not all partners require the same documents, and you have to be careful and knowledgeable about which ones are correct and how they work. For example, working with a company's documents is not the same as working with a self-employed person's documents.
4. How would you describe your experience at Axxon? What was the recruitment process like?
My experience with Axxon has been very positive. I would describe it as easy because everything went smoothly - I didn't have to travel and communication with the recruiter was really easy. The process was also very fast; the interview with the company I am now working for took place the same week, and the documentation was ready within a few days.
5. What advice would you give to someone who wants to work in HR?
I'd recommend being an empathetic and patient person, because unexpected situations can arise in the daily life of employees or in administrative matters. I'd also advise you to like the world of administrative documentation, as it's an important part of the job.
This testimonial offers a glimpse into the day-to-day work of the people in HR: dedicated professionals with a calling and the ability to adapt that make talent management possible.
At Axxon, we want to thank all the people who trust us to be part of this journey - and especially our team of consultants. That's why we're sharing a video testimonial that reflects Axxon's values and methodology through our team.
